Don’t forget!! Today is the start of our restaur Don’t forget!! Today is the start of our restaurant fundraiser at Rock & Brews El Segundo. You can help support our school just by dining out! You can also choose to do take-out if you’d prefer to take home. Just be sure to mention us or show our flyer.
We’re on day 2 of this new school year and we ho We’re on day 2 of this new school year and we hope it’s been going well for everyone. This Friday and Saturday kicks off the first of our restaurant night fundraisers!! Come out and celebrate our first week back at school at Rock & Brews El Segundo!! Come have lunch after school Friday or take a night off for dinner. Flyers will be sent home with students. Please show the flyer (or this post) when you dine-in or order for takeout to support our school. If dining in, we HIGHLY recommend making a reservation. And, as always, show the staff how amazing our community and students are by practicing our 3 B’s: Be respectful, Be responsible and Be safe. We love when our community absolutely SHOWS UP for our cubs, but sometimes this can overwhelm a restaurant, please show them some kindness and patience. We hope to see you all there!!!

As a reminder for the first week of school: -All week long we are on minimum day dismissal. (See photo for dismissal times) -TK/Kinder are 9-10am with parents/caregivers for the first day ONLY. -Please follow drop -off and pick-up procedures in the posted guideline. We can’t wait to see all our cubs back in school tomorrow!

Just a reminder that next week (Fri 8/29 all day and Sat 8/30 5PM-close) will kick off our restaurant nights at Rock & Brews - El Segundo. Take a night off cooking dinner and come out with some Hollyglen friends. Show our flyer at time of dining and our school will receive 20% back!! You can also order takeout! Just make sure to mention and show the flyer. We highly recommend making reservations if dining in, and also, please remember to give the staff some grace. The Hollyglen community ALWAYS shows up for our students and sometimes this can inundate a restaurant.

We would love to remind everyone that by joining the PTA, your membership cost helps us with covering the costs of field trips, putting on assemblies, providing support to our teachers and covering classroom supplies along with so much more!! Everyone who signs up for a PTA membership will be eligible to spin our prize wheel at School Year’s Eve (on Monday 8/26 4:30-6pm). This year we have some amazing prizes!! Those who sign up the day of School Year’s Eve will also receive a free Hollyglen keychain. ***Please note it is 1 spin per membership. For families who have multiple children who may want to spin the wheel, we recommend signing your student up for a membership. Don’t let your child’s items go missing or lie unclaimed in our lost and found pile. Order labels from Mabel’s Labels and put them on everything (water bottles, lunchboxes, jackets, etc)!!! It was so great to see so many families mingling and to see all the new faces that will be joining us at Hollyglen for the first time. Thanks for joining us and we’ll see you all next Tuesday. The countdown to the first day of school begins now!!

Join us online to learn more about Hollyglen School and what to expect as your family begins your school journey! Mon 08/25: School Year’s Eve 4:30-6pm. Bring the whole family & come find out your child’s teacher, locate their classroom and learn more about school activities and programs Tue 08/26: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! TK/Kinder - 9-10am, parents/caregivers attend with students. 1st & 2nd grade - 8:30am-12pm Wed 08/27: TK/Kinder Parents Breakfast 8:45am-9:30am, inside the PAC Fri 08/29 & Sat 08/30: Restaurant fundraiser at Rock & Brews. Take a night off and come support our school by eating out. Reservations recommended, be sure to show our flyer!

Help support our school AND keep items from being lost or mixed up by ordering your labels for items like lunch boxes/bags, water bottles and jackets. Remember to search for 'Hollyglen PTA' in order to give 20% back to our school. Please allow for 2-3 days of production time before your order ships. We'd recommend ordering by next week in order to get labels in time for the first day of school.
